Presentation of Donations: Ann and Fran raised money which was donated as a result of their Walkathon - when they walked 42klm (a marathon). The event was a great success and girls from the 2000 Days Group played an excellent part in supporting the two ladies as they walked and had a Picnic organised at Emy Lake where the Walk ended with the Marathon complete. The excellent preparation by the two girls meant that they were able to complete the challenge and enjoy the celebrations. However they had decided to open Donation Box and the people of North Monaghan and beyond showed their willingness to support the event by adding to the Donations with the result that the two organisations selected as recipients received €5,115.94 each. The presentation of the Donations to The Alzheimers and to the Samaritan group took place in the Peace Campus in Monaghan of Wednesday May 15th. Margaret and Brenda were the representatives of the Samaritan organisation and the Alzheimers organisation was represented by Martina Duffy, Martina Gallagher, Breda McGuigan and also present for the AAlzheimers was Elaine Kearney, the Monaghan and Cavan Advisor. ;

The Samaritan organisation represented by Margaret and Brenda are handed €5115.94 by Fran and Ann.
