Pharmacy Counter Assistant

Outstanding customer care may be just what the doctor ordered, but more importantly, it is the pivotal aspect of any successful community pharmacy. To this end, pharmacy assistants are the crucial interface between customers and the pharmacist and they carry out their daily work duties with the ultimate goal of effectively meeting the needs of their customers.

Mrs Roisin Austin, of McSorley Pharmacy in Emyvale, County Monaghan, has been shortlisted for the
Pharmacy Counter Assistant of the Year Award. She was nominated by Mrs Marie-Therese McSorley. This award recognises excellence in knowledge and service to customers and patients.

Roisin has been a key member of the pharmacy team in Emyvale since its establishment in 2000. Her contribution to the business has been extensive, varied and sustained. The award is sponsored by Sanofi Ireland and the winner will be announced on
Saturday 23 May at a glittering awards ceremony in Dublin. The night is hosted by RTE's Miriam O Callaghan and there will be over 550 pharmacy professionals and their teams there on the night.

Good Luck to Roisin!
