Truagh Recreational Blitz

Truagh organised a Recreational Football blitz at St. Mellans on Saturday, August 11th. Seven teams took part - Monaghan Harps, Clondalkin, Keady, Clontibret, Eire Óg, Eglish and the host club Truagh. A league system decided who would contest the finals and the prize was the Peadar Treanor Cup for the Cup section and the Brendan Landers Shield for the Shield section. At the end Eglish won the Cup and Truagh earned the Shield. Eileen Morgan presented the Cup to John Muldoon while Enda Landers presented the Shield to Truagh captain, Niall Keenan.
