Last week, August 8th to 12th, the now annual Tully Camp was held in St Olivewr Plunkett's
Park, organised by the Juvenile Committee of Emyvale GFC led by Áine Sheehan. The
coaches kept the 90 participants busy all week and improved their skills and at the
same time carried out a very healthy programme of games and exercises. Thanks to
the personnel who gave of their time to e this event another success. On Friday certificates
were presented to those who were named as winners in various categories of activity.
The very popular Neil McAdam, county and Monaghan Harps player, was on hand to make
the presentations. The club was very appreciative of Neil's generosity in giving
of his time for the event. When we attended on Friday for the closing activity some
of the participants had already gone home and we missed them in the group photograph.
Well done to all involved in this Camp. It is certainly a wonderful way of spending
time during holidays and has a great social aspect to it as well as the physical
exercise and skill development.
