Tydavnet.com Launched.

On Sunday morning last, December 18th, www.tydavnet.com was launched by Michael Fisher, RTE. A big crowd of locals gathered in Tydavnet Community Centre where they enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and then Gerard Sherlock introduced the website and gave a brief history of how it came about. I was asked to say a few words and I encouraged them with the project and gave them a couple of pointers which I have learned from publishing this site. Michael Fisher congratulated them and wished the site every success. He said that the internet is the way forward and is a very important and modern method of communication. Indeed the world has taken on new dimensions as it is so easy to communicate with loved ones on the far side of the world at any time of the day or night. So well done to Peter, Maria, and Patricia Cavanagh and the committee on this great step forward bringing Tydavnet further into the modern technological world and making it accessible to Tydavnet people everywhere.
