Junior Championship V Blackhill

Friday July 13th in Tyholland Emyvale took another step closer to the Junior Championship final for 2012. The opposition was Blackhill who were very determined to take the victory but they soon found a very strong and skilful Emyvale who made no mistake in taking the honours. Early in the game Gareth McQuaid was forced to leave the field due to an injury and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. We wish him a very speedy recovery. The final score was 2 - 12 to 0 - 6 and reflected the dominance of the Emyvale lads with sterling work from the Bellew brothers, Ryan McAnespie and Marty McAree and great efforts from all the players. The weather was wet and unpleasant for both players and spectators.
