Regarding the cream coloured VW in the Emyvale Street scene Maura tells me that ‘it belonged to the late Raymond McGreevy, NT. He started teaching at Knocknagrave National School around 1956/1957, circa. I attended that school and he taught me. I used to admire his car. I know that he lived in Emyvale for a time until he moved to Monaghan. The car reg. was CNI 349 if I remember correctly’. Thanks Maura and I’m sure you are correct. He lived in the house marked by the arrow but it was safer to park down there as the street was wider.
