**UPDATE** Run To Remember Gary Askin 2020 On Sunday October 11th, the community of North Monaghan and beyond, gathered virtually to take part in the third annual ‘Run To Remember Gary Askin’. We were blown away by the number of people who participated, “coming together while staying apart”. Huge thank you to the families & friends who completed a run or a walk around their homes, at nearby lakes, parks, pitches and other local amenities, posting pictures online using the #RunToRememberGaryAskin. Winners of this year’s competitive races were @Oran McGee (Overall Men’s) & @Therese Scott (Overall Women’s). A massive congratulations to both, who will be presented with the annual trophies later in the week. All donations raised this year will go to Errigal Truagh Special Needs & Christopher McGonnells MS Journey. At present we have raised over €12k, a testament to the large numbers who participated and the huge level of generosity shown by all. From all of Gary’s family and friends, we want to say a sincere Thank You from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone involved in making ‘A Run To Remember Gary’ a truly special day. It was a day, we once again, will never forget. To every individual, organisation and business who participated and donated to the chosen charities, we are so grateful to you all. The show of strength and support from Co. Monaghan and abroad in such difficult times has been overwhelming. It was an incredibly touching tribute to Gary and a heartfelt celebration of his life.
