Glaslough Harriers road race 2020 Juvenile races. Congratulations to all the juvenile athletes who competed at our annual road races . We had some great races with a mixture of athletes from different clubs. Thank you to all the juvenile clubs who travelled and parents who brought athletes. Congratulations to our own athletes who all put on star performances. Special mention to Padraig Kelly who won the Special Olympics race for the 9th year in a row. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day and in the run up to this event, everyone's help was greatly appreciated. Senior group: Glaslough Harriers are incredibly proud of all of our senior athletes. Our senior squad has more than doubled since last year's road race and many of them recorded PB's at our road race. Well done everybody and keep up the good work. We are encouraging as many senior athletes as possible to travel to Carrick this Sunday at 11am for their 5k as it’s the next stage of the distance league. Juvenile Star Awards: Congratulations to Ava Ross, who received the Athletics Ireland Star Award for county Monaghan at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore on Saturday the 29th of February. Ava also had recent success as she was 3rd in the ladies Nihill 5k race in the Isle of man. She also walked a great new PB of 27.08. Well done Ava and congratulations from everyone at Glaslough Harriers. Irish Life Health All Ireland Schools Cross Country 2020. Brilliant performance from Aobhin McCormack representing Colaiste Oiriall to finish 7th in minor girls race at Irish Life health Schools Cross Country in Santry on Saturday the 7th of March. Great running Aobhin, well done as this was a great result.
