St Patrick’s Day Party in Blackwater Centre.
The Blackwater Heritage and Peace project organised a St Patrick’s day Party in the Blackwater Centre on Monday 14th March at which representatives of many cross-border and local groups attended. Bishop Joseph Duffy was present and gave a very interesting talk on St. Patrick, which can be heard HERE. Fr McEvoy gave a wonderful demonstration of Flower Arranging and produced a number of beautiful creations in the short time he had available, These were then awarded as prizes in the Raffle. Heritage Officer with Truagh Development, Ciaran Deeney, gave a short outline of the work that is being done and described other projects completed or in operation at the moment in the area. Music was supplied by Brian Harvey. The Catering staff was highly praised for the excellence of the meal which was served to all.
