“Paddy J. triumphs in Skerries "
Congratutaltions to Paddy J McKenna who won the Skerries triathlon on Sunday in Dublin. Coming in first in a field of over 230 experienced athletes was no mean achievement for Paddy in only his second ever event. Paddy completed a rough sea swim of over 800 metres well ahead of his nearest rival. Fresh from marshalling at the national cycling championships, Paddy was not going to be caught on the bike leg and Paddy's good training with Emyvale cycling club served him well on the gruelling 23 km bike leg. Paddy coasted to victory on the run finishing well clear of his nearest rival, a former Irish Ironman record holder. Well done to Paddy.
