Gaeil Triúcha Healthy Club and Special Needs
Truagh GFC has been very involved in all aspects of the Healthy Club and Community Well-being initiative promoted by
the GAA and has organised many successful events and programmes to achieve the aims of these initiatives on an
ongoing basis. The Healthy Club team are: Pauline McCarey, Health & Well being Officer; Michael Treanor; Bronagh
Treanor; Pauric McKenna; Anne Clerkin; Kieran McGinn; Linda O'Reilly; Aimee McKenna; Maura Mohan; Micky

received funding from Healthy Ireland for a number of items on their programme under the heading of Truagh Health
and Well-being For All. Two initiatives involved providing courses of Music Therapy and Cycling Exercise, using Adult
Trikes, to Errigal Truagh Special Needs. Both of these were very successful and the members participated fully and
enjoyed the experiences immensely. Last week Pauline McCarey and Kieran McGinn from the Health Club visited
Errigal Truagh Special Needs Centre and they had Gary Mohan, a Truagh GAA footballer, to present medals to all the
participants.
Those who received their medals were:Aoife McKenna, Kevin Owens, Ann Colton, Aisling Farrelly Treanor, Eileen
Flood, Eadaoin Mulligan, Oisin Prunty, Jenna McMahon, Francis Hand, Fiona Callan, Finbarr Keenan, Avril Cogan,
Seamus Morgan, Paul McKenna and Patrick McKenna.
