Ulster Final 2021: The 2021 Ulster Final will be one remembered for a number of reasons. 1. It was played in Croke Park instead of Clones and the question will always be - WHY? 2. Croke Park may be the venue for all future provincial finals. 3 Monaghan were playing and hoping for a win but Tyrone went home with the Cup. 4 Experts will always know that had they been manager of the team Monaghan would have won. 5 Experts will also know that the referee made some poor decisions which didn’t help Monaghan. However the game was lost on the field of play to a tougher and at times luckier Tyrone. Yes some Monaghan players were not able to get into the game and give of their best and perhaps some of the changes were not made early enough and some changes were made too early but then what right have I to make such claims. The fact is they did not have enough on the scoreboard when the final whistle blew. Monaghan football have dealt with a lot of problems these past couple of weeks and a win would have raised spirits but it was not to be. However the good times can come again.
