GAA Volunteers: On Wednesday, November 27th in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan County Board honoured volunteers from every club in the county. This was the third year of this initiative which was started by current Chairperson, Michael O McMahon and has been exceptionally well received by the GAA fraternity. It is a very important project as it recognises the people who work long and hard to help their clubs and who have been more or less accepted but few were highlighted or acclaimed in a public way heretofore. The huge attendance at the Awards Night is testimony to the importance now placed on these awards. The presentations were made by President of the Ulster Council, Oliver Galligan, assisted by a member of the County Board. Congratulations to all the winners and you well deserve the award. Well done too to the organisers who had planned the night and made everything run so smoothly.
