21st Birthday EUCU Trading was set up in 1999 by Vincent
McQuaid and his father Sean McQuaid (RIP) The premises is
based in North Co Monaghan near the village of Glaslough. The
business was formed primarily to supply the various self-
indigenous industries in the county at the time, eg furniture,
poultry and mushroom industries, with products like wood
screws, fastening, power tool adhesive products, janitorial
products and safety workwear and footwear. Over the
intervening years the business has survived the economic
downturn and expanded its product range into packaging,
personnel protection and first aid. In 2014 the business formed another division called EUCU Chemtrade, which specializes in the supply of
chemical, solvent and excipient materials into the Pharma Food and Water Treatment and leisure industries to name but a few. The business
has evolved since 1999 and the next few years will definitely see changes to the way we all do business.
Over the years in business EUCU has built up a strong relationship with suppliers and now as an essential service endeavors to provide
efficient and reliable service to its customers. Speaking to us Vincent McQuaid stated: ‘2020 has been an extremely challenging year for all
aspects of business and it is incumbent on all of us to support as many of our local business as possible,.particularly coming up to the
Christmas season with so many uncertainties about what this years celebrations will look like. With all the various business challenges that
EUCU has seen in its 21 years, the global pandemic that is coronavirus has undoubtable been the biggest challenge to date. If we all support
each other, we can survive this’.
EUCU would like to thank all our customers and suppliers for their continued support, especially this year working in such difficult
circumstances. Stay safe www.eucu.ie 047 88888/086 2508614
