Emyvale GFC Weekly Notes.
The Club’s AGM was held in the Leisure Centre on Sunday, Jan 3rd. A good turn out but the players were busy at training for their forthcoming game on Sunday 10th in Newry against Edinburgh in the All-Ireland series. A successful year was reported on by a very comprehensive report from secretary, Laura Treanor, and thanks to all, who contributed and participated, was expressed by Chairman Padraig Treanor. The financial situation was given in detail by Treasurer Dermot and various committee members gave a run down of the work of sub-committees - all showing a very busy club. There were no motions up for discussion but a few items under AOB called for a few changes in the way some things are done so as to make things easier to manage. The new executive took these on board and there were couple of changes to the executive - Enda Clerkin comes in as Vice-Chairman, Monica McKernan is a member of the Committee and Barry McCarron takes on the duties of PRO. On a personal note - I would like to pay tribute to and thank the outgoing PRO, Patrick Mulroe, for the excellent work he has done and for the quality of his reports. Barry has promised to continue the practice of sending the weekly notes to us here.
