“Emyvale’s X Factor”

BACK

The first semifinal of ‘Emyvale’s X Factor’ took place on Saturday night last, Nov 14th in Emyvale Leisure Centre. The organising committee from Emyvale GFC had decorated the entrance and the Main Hall and this gave a fantastic atmosphere to the venue. John Loughran had added lighting and sound and everyone and everything was in place for a great night. The three judges, Gloria, Pat Deery and Diane Wright had a very difficult task of selecting three contestants to go forward to the final together with two acts nominated by the audience. There was a big audience and they were very appreciative of the high standard to performance and gave all contestants a great welcome and hearing. While the votes were being counted the ‘Travelling Wannabees’ entertained the crowd to great applause.

The second semifinal takes place this Saturday night in the same venue and the organisers are delighted with the response of contestants and spectators and are looking forward to another great and enjoyable night of entertainment. The start has been put back to 8.30pm, as the football team have been fixed to play the semifinal of the county league on Saturday by the County Board. The game is at 7pm in Tully – so an 8.30 start will allow spectators and workers to get back to the Leisure Centre. Hope to see you there.

MGRB through to Final.

Mellissa McDermott, Sharon Daniels and Grace Campbell, all of whom gave great performances but failed to make the final. All three have beautiful voices and everyone enjoyed their signing.

Bridie Lavery, Dean Woodings, Pauric Mohan, and Orlaith McKenna - all of whom sang their ways into the Final, which will be held in the Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 28th - make that a date for a wonderful night of entertainment.
