Hurling and Football Finals.
A double header in Clontibret today, Sunday Oct 18th provided a good feast of hurling and football. Truagh faced the County Champions in the Silver Hill Foods Hurling League final and tried very hard but had to yield to a strong Faughs side. There were some fine performances from the Truagh lads and with a little bit of luck the scores could have been very close indeed.
This was followed by the McGuigan Builders Intermediate Football championship final between Drumhowan and Monaghan Harps. Again Drumhowan started well but gradually the Harps took control and went on to take the title. We have a few photos for you from both games.
