Glaslough Show - Polar Express.
Glaslough has been described in many ways for its beauty, its heritage, its Castle, and its buildings but it can also be described as the centre of great musicals. Packie McGhee and the Glaslough Musical Society has produced many many top class musical shows over the years but 2009 will have to go down as a marvel. Polar Bear Express was sheer magic. A musical performed by young, and some very young, people from the North Monaghan area was something every age group could enjoy and the two packed houses did so. The quality of the singing, the dancing and general professional performance of the entire cast, assisted by a few adults, wooed the audience and the magnificent sets, lighting, costumes and special effects combined to transport spectators into a fantasy land with a Christmas theme. Congratulations to all concerned.
