The MSPCA ( Monaghan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) organised it Dog Walk event to coincide with National Dog Walk Day 2011. It was held in Rossmore Park and there was a great turn-out of proud owners of a vast collection of breeds and sizes of dog. The organisers had everything very well organised and refreshments were available together with safety vests and information leaflets. There was also a choice of walks - the Long one and the shorter one. The weather stayed pleasant for the event and it was enjoyed by all.
The staff of the MSPCA Dog Shelter at Emyvale are to be congratulated for the work they do and it was nice to see them getting such good support for the Dog Walk. Below are some of the dogs and owners.
