Joggers Night Out
The Jolly Joggers is a group of ladies from North Monaghan, led by the effervescent
Geraldine McAree, who meet every Monday and Wednesday at the GAA grounds at Tully
for training. They take part in various 5K and 10K events and organise their own
Fun Day, in conjunction with Glaslough Harriers, on New Years Day and the funds raised
go to a local charity.
Some time back a Benefit Night was organised for a local lady
at which various items were auctioned. The Joggers purchased a Trip to the Dundalk
Stadium for a Dog Race Night, which had been sponsored by Moran Travel and the Stadium.
On Friday, March 11th the Joggers lived up to their Jolly name and went to the dogs.
A great night was had by all though only the seasoned betters came away with a profit.
Selecting a winning dog is serious work, but can be fun too!!
