The struggle for the Chieftain of Aghaloo is hotting up and the time is getting shorter and all candidates are anxious to accumulate as much as they can as quickly as they can. On Saturday night July 2nd it was the turn of Cuthbert Donnelly and he had a night of story-telling, music, song, and craic in Quinn’s Cormer. Patsy O’Hagan was a star attraction and he did not let them down as he had them doubled with laughter during his hour and a half presentation. The food was, as always in Quinns, top class and plenty of it. The music was terrific and everyone had a very enjoyable night and thanks to the patrons the Aughnacloy Community Centre took another step forward.
