Mullaghmore Event for Tydavnet Faith and Light
Marese McCarra, family and friends organised a day of activity in the Mullaghmore
Equestrian Centre in aid of Tydavnet Faith and Light Group on Sunday June 12th. We
spoke to the Regional Organiser for Faith and Light, Cait McKenna, and you can click
on her photo below to hear the story of Faith and Light and the Tydavnet Group in
particular. The Organiser for Tydavnet is Mary Keenan who was absent when we called.
The
day began with a Hack to Bragan and back and 40 riders participated and this was
a great turn-out. They were lucky as the weather turned nasty on the way back but
all arrived safely. The afternoon of activity was in the arena and so the continuous
rain did not interfere with the fun. There were Bouncy Castles and face painting
for the young, food and refreshments for all, pig racing and side-shows galore. There
was an auction with auctioneer Noel Hall and prizes were presented to the riders
by Mark McElroy, who entertained too. It was a great day of fun for all the family
and there was excellent support. Proceeds go to the Tydavnet Faith and Light and
I say - well done to Marese and her team for a wonderful idea, executed to perfection.
