90th Birthday Celebrations
Members of the North Monaghan Social services celebrated the 90th birthday of one
of its members - May Treanor - at the Thursday Club in Emyvale Leisure Centre on
Thursday, April 14th. Two of her daughters and a great grand daughter attended as
well. In congratulating her and making a presentation to her Barney Treanor, on behalf
of NMSS, said that May was one of the most regular attendees at the Social Club on
Thursday in Emyvale and it was great to have her with them. He wished her well and
looked forward to her 100th so that the President of Ireland could be invited to
come down to present the cheque. May thanked everyone for their kindness and said
she enjoyed coming to the club every Thursday and she expressed appreciation to all
who help on the day. May cut the cake and it was shared out among all present.
I would
like to add our best wishes to May too and hope that I can be there to photograph
her with the President, whoever that might be.
