Glaslough Villa Celebrates
Silverware may have been scarce but the members of Glaslough Villa and their friends celebrated the conclusion of a major Draw and presented the annual awards to recipients. The event was held in the Pillar House Hotel, Glaslough, with a Marquee added. There was a great crowd and everyone in joyous form. There was plenty of food and refreshments and good music for the dancers. The winner of the star prize - a New Ford car or €10,000 - went to Stephen Quinn from Roscommon with Peter Kelly picking up second prize and 3rd prize going to Christopher O’Hanlon. Paddy Connolly pulled the winning tickets. Colm Flynn was awarded Youth Player of the Year, Christopher Treanor was named Top Goal Scorer and Player of the Year was Darren McQuaid. The last two recipients named were not able to be present but the award was accepted on their behalf. The presentations were performed by Trevor Morgan and MC was Johnny McEvoy.
