EMYVALE
Murphy Wins again.
Emyvale cyclist Connor Murphy takes four victories from six starts, and his biggest win of the year last Sunday in the Stamullan Gran Prix by coming home on his own 30seconds ahead of his nearest rival. On a very tough course going over the infamous Snow Town Hill circuit. With over 100 of Irelands top cyclists Murphy stomped home on his own for a fine victory.
The first win was "The Beachmount Cup" in Navan, followed by the "Phoenix Gran Prix" Belfast, then the "PJ Logan Memorial" in Coalisland.
These wins pave the way for a very tough 5 weeks ahead in the saddle starting with the four day tour of the North based around Ballymena and the Glens of Antrim. The following week sees a 3 day tour of Ulster, based around Dungannon and the local area. Then they are Port bound for Lincoln in the UK for England top one day race "The Lincolin Gran Prix". They take the ferry back home to compete in Irelands top one day race "The Shay Elliott Memorial" held around the mountains of Wicklow.
To top it all off the 6 day RAS tailtean over a very grueling course around the Cork and Kerry mountains.
The Best of luck to Connor and his Eurocycles team mates in all these events.
