The Big Big Bazaar - Game On Comes to Emyvale
The Big Big Bazaar is back, but with a twist. The first 10 part series on RTÉ’s The Den, challenged two teams of 9-12 year olds to raise money for local causes by organizing a massive bazaar. This time the teams must hold a Games Fair. Each team has to think up, design and build the games for the fair. They then charge members of the public to participate. The teams have to beg borrow or steal their raw materials, make the games, source the prizes and try to get a bit of help from the adults!!
The two teams: Drumlin Youths FC and Donagh Community Games will be set up on either side of Emyvale Leisure Centre and its Game On!! For two hours members of the public have to pay to play. In a final twist the team that makes the most money gets to take half of their opponent’s takings! The winnings go to the local cause of their choice.
The Big Big Bazaar is presented by comedian and children’s entertainer Reuben. He has been making kids laugh since he was 10 years old with his unique children’s act. He has also performed on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show, at Vicar Street and at the Kilkenny Cat Laugh’s Festival.
Roxane Moorhead is one of Ireland’s best-known antique dealers. With over 30 years in the trade. She has been drafted in to help the children get organized and give them a hand.
The event will take place on
Sunday 28th November
at Emyvale Leisure Centre.
Doors open at 2pm
and everyone is very welcome.
